Is it spring yet????

  I awoke to a frigid 36 degrees this morning. Not more than three or four days ago, I could have sworn that I heard the melodic chirping and singing of spring peepers. For those of you who don't know, this is the official sign of spring here in Missouri. I know that it's only February. Yes, i do remember that Punxsutawney Phil did see his shadow, and that the heralder of spring (the beloved red robin), has still not been seen bob-bob-bobbing along. We will undoubtedly have a few more cold snaps, and I will still count the days. But I will; as I have always done; put my money on my glorious frogs!
